Camp Bentzon

Guess what we did on the 18th of November?........ We went to camp Bentzon on Kawau Island. On our way to Kawau island all the year sixes  was so excited they were moving and jumping around on the bus. As we finally got to Sandspit  everyone jumped off the bus and started looking  around, so while we were waiting we had our morning tea and walked to the park. So after all that the Ferry was  here so we had take all the suitcases and load it on to the ferry.

As soon as we finished loading the ferry we got to go inside it and sit up stairs, everyone was so excited just because the boat was moving. When we got to Kawau island we had to get everyone's bags again and take it to the balcony, after we done that we had to fill up our water bottles because we were going for a hike on a really big hill it was called “KILLER HILL”. Once everyone heard about it  they thought that it wasn't scary but a few minutes later up the hill everyone was getting sore legs and saying “ Wonder why it’s called Killer Hill”.

When we finally finished the hike everyone was happy because it was a long hike.

As we finished we had to get our bags and pack it away in our cabins, my cabin buddies were Raewen and April. After that we had free time, in free time we got to do swimming, volley and swimming. But everything was so cool everyone enjoyed themselves . So at camp we just got to relax but when Mr Somerville was ringing the siren everyone had to come sit down in there line orders, it went Bentzon, Mansion, Kawau, Kats.

I love camp because we had the best teachers and the best year sixes. What i'm hoping for next time  is that we get to stay there longer. I felt happy because when I got to camp I was happy to be away from home. And the most thing that i enjoyed was the raft building because we done a huge fail, and because it was the best four days ever.

Writing Test

As I got to school the bell rang, when the bell rang I ran to class as soon as possible. When I got to class we had to get our maths book  because we were doing our reading test. When we got to the room that we were doing our test in I was so tired because I went to sleep at 12:30 am.

When we were starting our test wee had 39 minutes to finish our test. 15 questions later I was already tired so I started to speed up a bit so I could finish it off properly so when I was finished I was the first one finish.

Camping at Kawau Island

yay! were going to camp in 2 weeks time we are going to kawau island, Mr Somerville said that it is a very cool and fun place to go. We are also going to be staying there for 4 weeks, we have already got our gear list, medical form and consent form. We have to also sleep in cabins with other people to.

We are also catching a fairy down to Kawau island, if you type up google maps and go on directions and type up your location it will tell you how long it will take you from were you are to were you want to go. when I type up from Pt England School to Kawau island or Snell's Beach it said it will take you 1hr and 18min to travel on a car, 2hr 29min on the bus, 6hr 1min on a bike and 17hr 44min when walking.







 I hope that all the year 6's have fun at Kawau island including me because it will be my second time going camping far away. when we get there we all have to sort out all of our stuff and get into groups. Have fun year 6's.

Halloween

This morning at assembly me ad my friends were listening to Mr Burt about Halloween. He was talking about us having an adult with you at all times because something might happen to you and someone might give you something that's not right to eat. But Halloween is a fun and exciting event.

He was also talking about us not going because something might happen and it wont be safe that is why you need an adult at all times. Halloween is fun and exciting because you get to dress up  scary and you can also see other peoples cool costumes.

What are you going to dress up for Halloween ,i'm going to dress up as a zombie with cuts and wounds on me. Hope you have fun on Halloween. Trick or treat..................

Going to Brisbane

What are you doing for your Christmas?..... Guess what i’m going to Australia for Christmas to see my seven cousins two unties and two uncles. We will be going to the Gold Coast in Brisbane, we are going to have a lot of fun. My mum said when we pack our stuff make sure we take a lot of sunscreen because last time we were there it was forty eight degrees there everyday. Because its going to be very hot there  we are taking no jumpers no jackets and no shoes just sandals.

while we are in Brisbane we are  going to stay in a hotel it is called the urban hotel, mum said that it is a very nice hotel. So when we get there we are going to go to the pools.

Being a Successful Pt Englander

If you want to be a successful Pt Englander you need to have R.A.K, it means random act of kindness, like being respectful to people. Being respectful is like listening to other people that are talking, and being polite. You can also be respectful by being kind to other people and make people happy. you can also help people with their work.

Caring for other people is like helping them with something, play with them and taking them to the sick bay when they are hurt. If you want to care for other people you need to make sure that they are safe even if that person is someone you don’t like. And if you care for someone you might get a prize if someone see’s you caring and looking after people . And make sure you always stay helping people.

Being helpful is helping other people with their work so if someone was stuck still writing a paragraph and you help them, that is being helpful even if that person doesn't like you and teases you. Another way to be helpful is to help people with anything they need help with like helping them clean the classroom. Being helpful is fun because if you help someone finish their work and you finished yours you don’t need to stay in at lunch and finish it off. The last thing to be helpful is to have fun while you do it.
