Hiwi the Kiwi
On the 25th of August we had two special guest coming to our school and they were Hiwi the Kiwi, Hiwi the Kiwi is about them teaching us things that our teachers and parents don’t even know. As they were introducing themselves they came up with some pretty funny stories. They were the Mr & Mrs Minstrel, they are nearly known all around New Zealand. They taught us a lot of fishing advice like………. You should always clean your fish with salt water because if you clean it with fresh water the fish will go off straight away, you always take a bucket of salty ice so the fish is nice fresh and cool when you take out the fish. I really had fun with them because they taught us a lot of stuff that are really helpful, I hope to see them again in the future.

Term 2 Week 2 Reflection
Here it is week 2 of the 2nd term this week has been a fun week we had really funny and entertaining people come in this week and this post is my weekly reflection, so on every Fridays i'm going to post a reflection on how the week was.
It is week 2 and already feeling happy and we are having a sausage sizzle fundraiser on this exact day, and after morning tea we have our inquiry for the rest of the day, I really like Inquiry because you get to learn about heaps of different things.
I really like this week and I hope that next week will go just as well.
Revolution Tour
On the 12th of may we had the Revolution tour coming in to our school to talk about how we can be what we want and how we can be those things. As they were introducing themselves there was this big guy and his name is Reggie, Reggie was really funny but then he started talking about his past and he was saying that he had no parents. Everyone felt sorry for Reggie because his mother had three other kids which was 2 sisters and 1 brother and the mother kept them three but gave him away to her favorite teacher but it was really sad that some of us were crying. But the cool thing about Reggie is that hes American, he's funny and he's really good and playing the trumpet.
Then after there intro they started singing a few songs and then started talking about how successful you an be when you get older and then they made everybody stand up and do the running man challenge it was really funny watching the teachers as well.
Summer was like Reggie's sister but she really wasn't but they both treated each other like brother and sister, Summer had a really great voice she sang all of the songs with us and wow!, everybody was really surprised to hear her voice because she can go really high. Revolution had many great people but the one thing that Reggie told us is tat everybody has a past wither if it was a good past or a bad past but everybody does have a past.
The messages that revolution told us were really good to use and inspiring and the last thing they told us was to look at the person next person next to you and say I can, you can, we can and I got yo back . I really like Revolution tour because they teach many different schools and travel around the country and sometimes other countries. I really hope that revolution tour comes again because they were inspiring, funny, and creative.

A.I.M Talk
Aspiration, Inspiration, Motivation
(A.I.M)
On this very special at 9:15 we had three special guest to come into our senior block to tell us about their lives and mostly our future and our education. The speakers are Kenese, Arizona and Andrew Patterson, they tought 3 important words which are Aspiration, Inspiration and Motivation which make up to A.I.M. The first Speaker was Arizona she told us about how she had her dream come true because when she was little, she started off with a really big dream and it came true so she told us that if we got a big crazy dream just to go for it because you might actually end up somewhere because of that dream. Arizona had a very inspirational story because she so fun encouraging and creative because she is herself because she believes in herself and everyone does to.
The next speaker was up, he looked like a nice kind and generous person because he was funny kind and a little serious but he turned out to be really cool. His name was kenese his story was about how he grew up with only his mum. Kenese grew up with only his mum and no dad, then i just realized that I am like that to because I only grew up with my mum and sometimes my grandparents so I was happy because now I know that i'm not the only one. They also themselves taught us a few more words which are Work hard, Share the Happiness and dream big.
Kenese Inspired me because I grew up with a single mother and I am also the only child but now she has now got a great caring husband that accepts me as a daughter. Thank for Andrew Patterson for putting this together.

2016 Update
Kia Orana my name is Mahana I am in yr 8 @ Pt England School this year is my last year and I am really going to miss this school mostly all of the teachers, my favourite subject in school is math even though I really don’t know that much but i’m still going to try my hardest. My teacher's name is Mr Wiseman he is pretty funny but sometimes not funny but he’s cool. This year I am looking forward to going to college, I hope yous enjoy my fun blog.
2016 Reflection
In 2015 I have gained that I was getting to know new people from different places and I have really improved in my literacy. I have also learned heaps of other stuff from Cooking, Hard Materials, and graphics. The most that I have gained from 2015 is trust, trust can be very hard to earn because they don’t really know you and then by the time you start getting comfortable with each other maybe you have earned their trust. least thing that I have gained is actually nothing because I enjoyed my year and it was so fun. The thing that I enjoyed about last year is that I got to spend time with my friends and teachers on school trips and and whenever we get back we just kick back..z
In 2016 I am looking forward to yr 8 camp and the other fun four activities for this term which are School fiafia, swimming, Duffy theater and school Picnic . The most thing that I really want to get better at is my math and tests as well but mostly my maths before I go to college. this year I am planning joining most of the stuff while I can before I leave Pt England School after these tough eight years. This year I really want to enjoy this year and just have fun before it ends
