My Christmas Wishlist

Hi This is my Christmas presentation that  I have made. In this presentation there are 5 things i would want for Christmas and 5 things I don't want.

Camp Benzton

This is my movie that I have made about the year sixes going to camp Bentzon. In this movie there are videos about what we did over there, in our cabins we  got to pick people to sleep with in our cabins, my buddys were Raewen and April.

Camp Bentzon

Guess what we did on the 18th of November?........ We went to camp Bentzon on Kawau Island. On our way to Kawau island all the year sixes  was so excited they were moving and jumping around on the bus. As we finally got to Sandspit  everyone jumped off the bus and started looking  around, so while we were waiting we had our morning tea and walked to the park. So after all that the Ferry was  here so we had take all the suitcases and load it on to the ferry.

As soon as we finished loading the ferry we got to go inside it and sit up stairs, everyone was so excited just because the boat was moving. When we got to Kawau island we had to get everyone's bags again and take it to the balcony, after we done that we had to fill up our water bottles because we were going for a hike on a really big hill it was called “KILLER HILL”. Once everyone heard about it  they thought that it wasn't scary but a few minutes later up the hill everyone was getting sore legs and saying “ Wonder why it’s called Killer Hill”.

When we finally finished the hike everyone was happy because it was a long hike.

As we finished we had to get our bags and pack it away in our cabins, my cabin buddies were Raewen and April. After that we had free time, in free time we got to do swimming, volley and swimming. But everything was so cool everyone enjoyed themselves . So at camp we just got to relax but when Mr Somerville was ringing the siren everyone had to come sit down in there line orders, it went Bentzon, Mansion, Kawau, Kats.

I love camp because we had the best teachers and the best year sixes. What i'm hoping for next time  is that we get to stay there longer. I felt happy because when I got to camp I was happy to be away from home. And the most thing that i enjoyed was the raft building because we done a huge fail, and because it was the best four days ever.

Writing Test

As I got to school the bell rang, when the bell rang I ran to class as soon as possible. When I got to class we had to get our maths book  because we were doing our reading test. When we got to the room that we were doing our test in I was so tired because I went to sleep at 12:30 am.

When we were starting our test wee had 39 minutes to finish our test. 15 questions later I was already tired so I started to speed up a bit so I could finish it off properly so when I was finished I was the first one finish.

Camping at Kawau Island

yay! were going to camp in 2 weeks time we are going to kawau island, Mr Somerville said that it is a very cool and fun place to go. We are also going to be staying there for 4 weeks, we have already got our gear list, medical form and consent form. We have to also sleep in cabins with other people to.

We are also catching a fairy down to Kawau island, if you type up google maps and go on directions and type up your location it will tell you how long it will take you from were you are to were you want to go. when I type up from Pt England School to Kawau island or Snell's Beach it said it will take you 1hr and 18min to travel on a car, 2hr 29min on the bus, 6hr 1min on a bike and 17hr 44min when walking.







 I hope that all the year 6's have fun at Kawau island including me because it will be my second time going camping far away. when we get there we all have to sort out all of our stuff and get into groups. Have fun year 6's.

Halloween

This morning at assembly me ad my friends were listening to Mr Burt about Halloween. He was talking about us having an adult with you at all times because something might happen to you and someone might give you something that's not right to eat. But Halloween is a fun and exciting event.

He was also talking about us not going because something might happen and it wont be safe that is why you need an adult at all times. Halloween is fun and exciting because you get to dress up  scary and you can also see other peoples cool costumes.

What are you going to dress up for Halloween ,i'm going to dress up as a zombie with cuts and wounds on me. Hope you have fun on Halloween. Trick or treat..................

Going to Brisbane

What are you doing for your Christmas?..... Guess what i’m going to Australia for Christmas to see my seven cousins two unties and two uncles. We will be going to the Gold Coast in Brisbane, we are going to have a lot of fun. My mum said when we pack our stuff make sure we take a lot of sunscreen because last time we were there it was forty eight degrees there everyday. Because its going to be very hot there  we are taking no jumpers no jackets and no shoes just sandals.

while we are in Brisbane we are  going to stay in a hotel it is called the urban hotel, mum said that it is a very nice hotel. So when we get there we are going to go to the pools.

Being a Successful Pt Englander

If you want to be a successful Pt Englander you need to have R.A.K, it means random act of kindness, like being respectful to people. Being respectful is like listening to other people that are talking, and being polite. You can also be respectful by being kind to other people and make people happy. you can also help people with their work.

Caring for other people is like helping them with something, play with them and taking them to the sick bay when they are hurt. If you want to care for other people you need to make sure that they are safe even if that person is someone you don’t like. And if you care for someone you might get a prize if someone see’s you caring and looking after people . And make sure you always stay helping people.

Being helpful is helping other people with their work so if someone was stuck still writing a paragraph and you help them, that is being helpful even if that person doesn't like you and teases you. Another way to be helpful is to help people with anything they need help with like helping them clean the classroom. Being helpful is fun because if you help someone finish their work and you finished yours you don’t need to stay in at lunch and finish it off. The last thing to be helpful is to have fun while you do it.

How to keep safe in the sun

It  is safe to have a sun hat because you might get sunburned, and you also have to be in a shade if you don’t have one. So if you stay in the sun too long you might get sun cancer,  you also might get sunstroke and faint.

How would you keep safe in the sun???..........

The first way to stay safe is to remember to always to wear a  hat so you can keep your hair, skin and your eyes.  It can also damage your skin and you will get patches on your skin. The other way to keep your skin safe is to put sunscreen on all of your skin that is showing. Just make sure and keep checking that you put it on properly.

The second way to stay safe was to make sure you bring something to keep you safe in the sun like an umbrella or a gazebo. If you forget to put on your sun screen you might faint or you might faint or you might catch sun cancer is you stay in the sun too much. It is also safe to go into shade if you don’t have a shade yourself. And don’t forget to take a bottle of water to.

you have to make sure you have to have a hat, when you have a hat you have to make sure you always have the right hat. The hat that you need is a big sun hat that covers your face and your head. It also protects you from getting burnt from the sun. So that is how you keep safe in the because if you don't have a hat it might stop you from having fun

Don’t forget to take something to cool you down and and take someone with you.

And last of all  make sure to have fun.

My Holiday Highlight

Planning:

Why: End of the holidays

“Yay” I said excitedly . A few minutes after I was getting ready to go Rainbow’s End, “Mum get ready so we can go,  it opens at 10:00” “It’s only 9:30”. As my  mum was getting up slowly i was getting our free passes to Rainbow’s End. So as we were at Rainbow’s End i ran inside and straight away i went onto the stratosphere.

I was so excited I was jumping around in the line. the Stratosphere could only hold thirty people, there was only two lines one for Not very extreme  ride and very extreme ride, i was only going on the extreme one. It was so scary I was the only one screaming and crying. And my auntie was the only one laughing .

Later on we all got hungry and had lunch, we had american hot dogs, chips and a drink. A few minutes later me and my step brother went onto the bumper boats “ Don’t get soaking wet”

my mum said. As we were on the bumper boats we quickly went on the rest of the rides before it closes, “ Hurry up before it closes” i said. One hour later we all had to go home because it was closing so off we went home and had a big long sleep.

    

Commonwealth games

about the Commonwealth games.so we made an animation for this animation is us creating our own commonwealth sport for 2018
we have also gave a name for our sport my one is called Soccer Net it is about kicking a soccer ball into a netball hoop.

Samoa Narrative Writing

As Mrs Jacobsen  came through the door everybody went still and the room was quiet, as she sat down she asked them “ why are you scared for   i’m not scaring you am I ” as Ms Jacobsen said Suspiciously. Ten minutes later as they were doing there work Finau the nicest girl in school came to school,  “WHY ARE YOU LATE ! ” Said Mrs Jacobsen , “ I woke up late ” she cried. So mrs jacobsen got the stick and started whacking Finau on the legs in front of the whole class.The next day Finau went to go and tell her mum so Finau's mum told the principal and Mrs jacobsen got fired, “ I WILL GET YOU BACK FINAU ”.

Later that day Finau was trying to get her enemy  Juliet to miss a day off school so Finau can get the attendance award all to herself , as usual Finau always acts like she the nicest girl in school  but she’s not she is trying to get people to wag school so she can get the attendance  award. So the next day  Finau was even getting the teacher to miss a day of school, she was still getting everyone to get a do off school

when Finau got home she didn't wash her hands when she was about to have dinner, so she had dinner with her dirty hands. So in the morning she was sick but she still wanted to go to school.

So when she was at school she got even more sick so she went in class and gave everyone the flu , then the flu spread around the school so everyone was sick so everyone had to miss a day off school even her best friends. the next two days no one came to school but Finau , so Finau ended up winning the trip to Apia Samoa that was the award for the attendance award so Finau was on the plane to go and she spread the flu even the pilot. the pilot ended up getting worse so he fainted and the plane crashed………………………..TO BE CONTINUED………………..  

The Lost Pearl

One evening  Mahana, Finau and May went to the beach because it was a nice day to have a swim. When Mahana and Finau were swimming May was bearing her self in the sand, as she was bearing her self she found something so that's when she called out “ Mahana,Finau come here quick”

Finau and Mahana ran to her as fast as they could. As they got there they said “ What's the matter ” “ Look what I found in a shell ” said May. Mahana and Finau were looking confused than May.

So all three of them were looking around for people to ask them what was it. A few minutes later Finau found someone and told May and Mahana to come and ask the man what is was. “ Excuse me sir do you know what this is” said May. “ Yes it is a lost pearl stuck in a oyster shell, do you also know that it cost a fortune” he said happily to them.

“ We should sell it ” said May “ But to who” Said Mahana and Finau

So they were walking back to May’s house and someone saw the pearl and said “ Can I have that pearl for $200 please ”  “ Yes please ” Said all of them so he had the pearl and someone else ran passed him and snatched it off him….TO BE CONTINUED………………..

Don't get your hopes up Anna

“Yay!!” “ Were going to Rainbows End ”  Said Anna so Excitedly. “ Dont get your hopes up it might rain because it look’s like it is, said mum. As Anna was having a shower to get ready , mum was making lunch for her and Anna for Rainbow’s End . As they were leaving it started to spit then it got heavy and more heavy so Anna was crying because it was raining so it was cancelled.

As they got home Anna walked inside and so all of her friends and family jumped up from their hiding places and said “ SURPRISE !! ”. Anna was so scared she was so happy she screamed so loud that she was louder than everyone else. Later on Anna was eating a lot of food she threw up and was so sick she couldn't play anymore games and have fun.

The next day Anna was so sick she couldn’t move to go to the toilet so she just sat there till she was feeling better. A few minutes she finally got up to go in the bathroom someone was sleeping in there so she dragged them out so she can go toilet. She went into the kitchen and made her something to eat so she made her some bacon and eggs. As she was watching tv she fell right asleep…….  

The Lost Keys

One Evening mum,dad Jamie and Jacob were going on a trip to a beach far far far away from home.  On the way there Jamie and Jacob keep annoying mum and dad and keep asking “ Are we there yet !!! ?”.

As they were half way there Jaime needed to go to the toilet and so did everyone else  as dad was going toilet he dropped the keys and didn't notice. So they all went back to the car and someone had came out of nowhere and picked up the keys then took off with it

So when they went to the car dad noticed that the keys were missing. Mum said “ Look in your pockets! ” and there was nothing , so dad checked everywhere so all of them freaked out because it had dads licences on the keys. “ I FOUND THEM I FOUND THEM ” Jacob said “ It’s in that man’s hand ” Dad tried to run up to him but the man started running as fast as he can and so was dad. Finally as dad caught him and took his hoodie and it was a random man, so dad just took the key and just left him there.

“ Yay were here now !! ” said Jamie, as they got there dad left the keys in the car and locked the car and forgot about them. “ It’s time to go now” mum said. When they were packing their stuff dad was looking for the keys again until half an hour later Jamie saw them in the car, so dad tried to find something to open it with but the only thing that was there was a big rock. So dad got the rock and smashed the window, and they had to drive home with a broken window. When dad was driving he was so cold because it started to rain  and then started to hail then something happened……………...

Pigs and ducks

The first thing I did was that I drew 11 pigs  then i drew 2 legs to all 11 pigs.
The first 3 pigs i drew 2 more legs. That how i got 3 pigs and 8 Ducks 

Event Research

Learning About Samoa

Today the tuis group have been learning differences and similarity's between Samoa and New  Zealand. So we made a movie about learning the differences and similarity's , when we made our movie we only had 15 minutes to make it.

Differences :

1. Some of the buses are free in Samoa

2. We have different kind of food

3. They have different kind of money

if i was in Samoa I will take pictures and have fun and enjoy myself. I love Samoa because its nice and hot and you can go to the beach everyday, and go to the markets in the weekend. I love learning about Samoa. because its a nice beautiful island.

For the High Bar you will also need to have good upper body strength. The horizontal bar was used by acrobats in Ancient Greece and Rome.

In  ww1 most of the islands and countries around the world were fighting in ww1. That day Thousands of more men and women joined the war to fight for there countries, and people.

My Holiday Highlight

   In the second week of the holidays I just  came back from Sydney, Australia. I  didn't go back home till  10:00 pm. When we were at home i had a big sleep and didn't wake up till 2:00 pm the next day. That day Me and my cousin and my uncle went to Rainbows End, while we were at rainbows End me and my cousin went on the log flume. As we went on the log flume my cousin was crying because we were going through the scary bit of the log flume .When the log flume finished we both were screaming because it went straight down, when it was finished we went to look at our picture .

A couple hours later me and my cousin had only one hour left because Rainbows End was about to close but the last ride we went on was the stradisfair it was scary. When we on the Straidisfair was so scary she almost vomited, but my uncle said “ Unless we are the only ones here”. So after that we went home and had a feed. When we went home and  had a feed we had McDonald's and KFC.

When I was in Sidney me my two auntys,my two uncle’s and seven cousins went to the city  for lunch, for lunch we had Hungry Jacks. Hungry Jacks is like burger king. It was  so cool that we got to go extreme bowling and I was the aster at bowling because my score was seventy three  and everybody  else had thirty three and forty four .

After that we all went home and played on Xbox one, when we were playing on it my auntie  said to watch a movie and my cousin said “can we watch Percy jackson and the sea of monsters” “please”. So we watched Percy Jackson and we all fell asleep because we had such a long day.
